Posting date claims will go up on May 1st, at 13:00 UTC. There shouldn't be a rush to claim a posting date, as posting will be from June 1-23, and there can be up to two story/art pairs posted on one day.

For more information on posting, please see this post, and feel free to ask questions if you have them. And yes, I will be giving participants posting access later on.
If everything goes well, we should be looking at 45 fic and art pairs come June!

Under the cut is a little more info on how posting will work.

If you want to participate as a pinch-hitter, please copy-paste the following and fill out the information. Make sure you read the info post before signing up!

Pinch-hitters can be called in at any time after claiming to fill in, but most likely will be asked sometime in May or June. Ideally you would have a little over a month to write a 10,000 word fic. Please keep the schedule in mind if you're signing up as a pinch-hitter.

Also make sure you request to join the community, and watch it too.

Pinch-hitter sign-ups will stay open indefinitely.
If you want to participate as an author, please copy-paste the following and fill out the information. Make sure you read the info post before signing up, specifically the section for authors!

Reminder

Feb. 28th, 2011 12:24 am
I want to remind authors that claiming is at 2300 UTC on Feb 28th. I'm a bit mindboggled that no one's contacted me yet about assigning proxies, but I guess that time just works for everyone? :O
The claiming process:
At about Feb 25th at 0900 UTC I'll put up the claims post with comments disabled. Each art preview will be listed with the title, medium, rating, a list of character(s), pairing(s), warning(s), and other notes, if applicable.

The post will be locked to members-only. Over the weekend authors can look through the post and decide on their top 5 choices*. On Feb 28th at 2300 UTC (find out when this is for you here) the claiming post will go live. I'll allow comments, and authors can reply with their top 5 choices.

Claims are given on a first-come, first-served basis. If all of your 5 choices have already been claimed once, then I'll reply to your comment asking if you would like to choose from the art that is still available, or if you'd prefer to wait until all of the art has been claimed once.

If you choose to wait, I'll go through the comments until all the art has been claimed once, then go back to the top and work my way down again. Choosing to wait does not guarantee that you will get one of your top 5 choices.

After claiming I will send authors an email with the full-size version of the art that they've claimed, and the email address of their artist, if you want to discuss the challenge.

What to do if you can't make the claiming time:
You can have a proxy sign up for you. Leave a comment to this post saying who you want your proxy to be, and have them request to join the community.

*For the people who are participating as both an artist and an author, obviously you won't be allowed to claim your own piece.

Reminders:
Art is due at the end of the day today! If you haven't submitted your artwork and have not contacted us about an extension, please do so ASAP.

Author sign-ups also close at the end of the day!
\o/

That's all the art and fic for this round. Huge thanks to the participants for their patience with me, and for making this round full of so much awesome! There's a small banner for you guys under the cut.

The masterlist will be up soon, but in the meantime, you can use the 2010 tag to look through all of this round's wonderful submissions!
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we won't need pinch-hitters, but things happen. So if you're interested in signing up as a pinch-hitter, please leave a comment to this entry with your username and email address, and then join the community.

Pinch hitters will have from Sunday, June 27th to Monday, July 5th to write a 5,000 word fic, so that's just about a week. Because of the situation, I will give extensions to pinch-hitters if it's needed.

Pinch-hitter sign-ups will be open until Sunday, June 27th.

Note to authors if you need to drop out:
There are no consequences for dropping out if you let me know before June 27th. If you drop out after this date, then you won't be able to sign up for the next round.
It seems like the time is workable for most people, so the claiming post will go up on Friday, June 4th at 21:00 UTC. See this link to check what time this will be in your part of the world.

Mod note

May. 13th, 2010 12:13 am
I've had some people contact me about this, and I wanted to clarify that you do not need a Dreamwidth account to join the challenge. You can watch and join the community as an OpenId account.

Also, I've made a members-only post that outlines the submission format for artists, so make sure you check that out if you're an artist.

And we still need more authors, so if you've been on the fence, the author sign-ups are just waiting for you! Or if there are any writers already signed up who feel confident that they could finish more than one story? Just reply here or to your sign-up comment and I can adjust accordingly.
Just past midnight, and I'm closing artist sign-ups. We have a total of 25 wonderful artists signed-up! \o/

If you have signed up, please double-check and make sure that you are a member of the community. I'm pretty sure that everyone is, or has an invitation to, but just in case I've missed someone.

Author sign-ups are still open. We could really use some more authors, so please spread the word!

Author sign-ups will be open until May 30th, and I'd love to see more authors signing up! There might be a shiny banner in it for you ;)
Authors, please leave a comment to this entry with your username and email address, and then join the community.
