I'm very sorry to say this, but we've run into some small problems and we'll have to move up the reveal date to this Friday, June 3rd.

The participants had a vote on this, and while I realize that not everyone has voted yet, it doesn't look like there's going to be a large majority for any option. As I'm writing this there is a tiny (pretty much inconsequential, given the numbers) lead for the option to delay reveals until the 3rd, but I also think that that option will be the most fair overall - having everyone's fics and art revealed at the same time, so that's what we're going to go with.

I apologize to everyone who was really looking forward to some new fanworks tomorrow.

First things first, I was able to rename the syndicated feed on LiveJournal to [ profile] sga_rb_feed. It's a horrible name, I know, but the good news is, there's now a real community, located at [ profile] sgareversebang! There's nothing there at the moment but people who would like to follow on LiveJournal should watch [ profile] sgareversebang now.

Tentative plans for the next round are for sign-ups to start in January, and the actual challenge to run from the beginning of February to the end of May. I'm also planning for the stories and art to be posted on both Dreamwidth and LiveJournal. I understand that this will make it a bit more inconvenient for authors and artists to have comments spread out over two sites, but I think that it's a relatively small inconvenience that will hopefully be balanced out by getting more people participating in the fest.

More news to follow in the coming weeks!

I'm still working on the masterlist, but in the meantime, I'd appreciate it if authors, artists, and anyone interested in future rounds could fill out some polls I have at my LJ. Sorry for the external linkage, but I can't make polls on DW.

Polls and discussion post is here.

I've had some people contact me about this, and I wanted to clarify that you do not need a Dreamwidth account to join the challenge. You can watch and join the community as an OpenId account.

Also, I've made a members-only post that outlines the submission format for artists, so make sure you check that out if you're an artist.

And we still need more authors, so if you've been on the fence, the author sign-ups are just waiting for you! Or if there are any writers already signed up who feel confident that they could finish more than one story? Just reply here or to your sign-up comment and I can adjust accordingly.
Just past midnight, and I'm closing artist sign-ups. We have a total of 25 wonderful artists signed-up! \o/

If you have signed up, please double-check and make sure that you are a member of the community. I'm pretty sure that everyone is, or has an invitation to, but just in case I've missed someone.

Author sign-ups are still open. We could really use some more authors, so please spread the word!

I'll be closing artist sign-ups at the end of the day tomorrow. So sign-up quickly if you want to participate!

Author sign-ups will be open until May 30th, and I'd love to see more authors signing up! There might be a shiny banner in it for you ;)

Just a reminder that you should only request to join the community if you're going to participate as an artist or an author. If you've already signed up and you haven't joined yet, please remember to do so!
