Summary: Cam goes missing somewhere between Earth and another planet, and for John, this turns out to be his breaking point
Warning(s) highlight to read: Potential for character death, implications of depression

Pairing(s): John Sheppard/Rodney McKay, implied Radek Zelenka/Elizabeth Weir
Summary: When Radek and Elizabeth go missing, John and Rodney decide to check the lab they had planned to visit. What they find is definitely surprising and has an unforeseen… little complication.
Warning(s) highlight to read: A couple of F words, but that's about it. The characters are not mine (unfortunately).
Notes: It was a joy to work with such wonderful and creative art by [personal profile] mific (and I totally stole the title from the artist!). The fantastic [personal profile] rinkafic did me the favor of a fast and insightful beta... thank you so much!

Summary: It's six months after the disease spread through Atlantis, crippling or killing everyone in the CIty, and Cam's more than ready to get out there to help.
Warning(s) highlight to read: major character death, a few gruesome scenes
Notes: Many, many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] padfootthegrim and [livejournal.com profile] stormylullabye for doing their usual amazing beta jobs, and to [livejournal.com profile] race_the_ace for creating this amazing piece of art and not freaking out at me when I told her it inspired me to kill off most of Atlantis by plague.

Pairing(s): John/Rodney, Ronon/Teyla, Evan/Amelia
Summary: Life on the Dotted A, a ranch on the Colorado/Kansas border, is always an adventure but things really heat up when Amelia goes back to Kansas City to help out her cousin, Ronon Dex. John invites the man back to help out at the ranch, never thinking for an instant that the band of thugs was trailing them, intent on mischief and mayhem.
Warning(s) highlight to read: alternate universe, mild violence, the blatant use of current equine headlines, some language
Notes: A big thanks to Aster for her beta help and the continuing hand holding that I seem to need for these challenges. Also, I used this article at the Time-Standard (California) for specific guidelines on EHV-1. I know this was a horrible tragedy in the horse world but it helped in the shaping of this story so I grabbed what I could from all the different articles that are piling up on the subject. I also apologize for being very vague with the military verbage. This is very much a work of fiction and I made things work for me.

Pairing: McKay/Sheppard
Summary: John, a downed Hurricane pilot in WWII, is rescued by Rodney who's tracking strange energy readings in the Sahara. And in another life, their story makes another John and Rodney unwilling Atlantis celebrities.
Warnings: None
Notes: Set a couple of weeks after Critical Mass, but I'm not the best at canon-wrangling, so apologies for any errors. It's kind of an AU crossover with the SG1-verse (although not so much the characters), in places. Huge thanks to [personal profile] busaikko for a super-fast beta at the very last moment, which was tremendously helpful.

Summary: There are many roads, and most of them are taken, more or less. Sometimes, those roads intersect.
Warning(s) highlight to read: Many people, including major characters, die. But it doesn't stay that way.
Notes: [livejournal.com profile] outsideth3box and [livejournal.com profile] gables are both amazingly wonderful people who put up with me and my last minute ways. The deserve love, chocolate and a Rodney McKay of their very own to play with. All mistakes that remain are mine alone; I continue to tweak even after they've done their work.

Summary: Missions are a lot like childhood. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes you touch the wrong knick-knacks and get sucked into a painting.
Warning(s): accidental death of an original, non-sympathetic character; some violence; brief talk of murder
Notes: Thank you to [personal profile] the_wanlorn for beta and general awesomeness, to [personal profile] lavvyan for help with ideas and cheerleading, and most of all, thank you to [personal profile] pajamas for the lovely artwork inspiration; this wandered a little off my original premise, but I hope you enjoy it anyway. :)

Pairing(s): Ronon Dex/Cameron Mitchell, Cameron Mitchell/John Sheppard, Ronon Dex/Cameron Mitchell/John Sheppard, Teyla Emmagan/Kanaan
Summary: Pegasus AU. When the expedition from an embattled Earth arrived in the City of the Ancestors, they found it already occupied by the Satedan military. But Specialist Ronon Dex tried to avoid politics, intrigue, and diplomacy as much as he could; he was having a hard enough time building a team that worked together under fire.
Warning(s) highlight to read: some violence (no worse than canon)
Notes: Much love to betas gaffsie and sherry57

Warning(s) highlight to read: Disturbing Imagery&
Notes: I’d like to give a very enthusiastic thank you to my beta emeraldsnakes who is both quick and incredible and to both race_the_ace and emeraldsnakes for providing endless encouragement and suggestions through this entire process. I’d also like to thank calcitrix for the amazing art to work from even if this maybe didn’t go the direction that was possibly intended.

Pairing(s): McKay/Sheppard (mostly implied)
Summary: AU. A world where the USSR survives, the Soviets control the stargate, and Rodney still gets sent to Siberia.
Warning(s) highlight to read: non-major character deaths
Notes: The title translates as "Let's go!" (pronounced po-YEK-hali), which is the word spoken by Yuri Gagarin as he blasted off (fifty years ago!) and became the first man in space. This piece was both very exciting and very difficult for me, and I ended up writing it in directions I didn't expect...I found it much harder to incorporate all of the details of the artwork into the fic than I originally thought, and I ended up not incorporating the Russian words and details I imagined I would. I hope the artist enjoys the fic, because I found the artwork very inspiring (and beautifully done), and I hope you enjoy it as well.

Disclaimer: Sadly, not mine; they all belong to someone else.

Notes: At the end.

Wordcount: ~30,000
Rating: mild NC-17
Pairing(s): McKay/Sheppard
Summary: The Cananth people have an underground Ancient facility where they shelter when the Wraith come, called the Haven and Help. The haven is obvious, but what is the help? They all have the Ancient gene, and a quiet steady confidence that John can't help envying. When a mission goes bad, John begins to question both who and what he is. Thinking of the Cananth, and remembering Marine Col. Everett, who led the force that helped save Atlantis, John wishes he had that same single-minded assurance - even if it fractures his changing relationship with Rodney.
Warning(s) highlight to read: Canon character deathdisappearance (Ford); OC deaths, including children; horror elements. This is in one section only, not throughout the story.
Notes: This is set after "The Storm/The Eye" and "Sanctuary", and canon happens in the background up through "Intruder". Ends before "Runner".
Rapid and amazing beta provided by [livejournal.com profile] tesserae. If there is anything wrong, it's my fault. If it's good, it's to her credit.

Summary: Rodney finally figures it out.
Warning(s): None required.
Notes: Apparently, I can't write break-up fic. My immediate impression upon receiving the wonderful art to construct a story around, was Rodney being very shocked and vulnerable, as John tells him "you don't get to get me back". And I couldn't do it; Rodney demanded a happy ending. So it's possible this story is a little schizoid, and likely not what the artist was expecting. I apologize if it's also not something to the artist's liking.

The title comes from Alan Alda, a part of this quote: "You have to leave the city of your comfort and go into the wilderness of your intuition. What you'll discover will be wonderful. What you'll discover is yourself."
