It would be great of people would flock around after reveals and write some more complementary fics, but I'm not sure how likely that'd be (or if they'd do that specifically for any works lacking a story) - I've never seen it happen much in other fests where a free-for-all period at the end was encouraged - partly as everyone's occupied in enjoying all the creations in the challenge rather than producing more. I'd still be worried that in the SGA RBB model we'd have some primary artworks with no accompanying fic, in the end.
It's partly as the fandom has changed across the years and there are simply fewer writers available. Locating pinch hitters has become much harder than it was in previous years, even for a 5000-word story. Thanks for the various ideas - we'll take them on board with all the feedback. - cheers, Mific
