The art is just lovely. Guys in jacket and tie are always yum, and their rumpled casualness fits perfectly.
The story is remarkably well suited, similarly clean-lined yet so dark that it works in counterpoint. The kids are all so heartbreakingly adaptable, while their world slowly crumbles around them. Yet the ways they find comfort despite that are so bittersweet. (And I adore the friendship you paint between John and Rodney!)
